2013年8月13日 · The reason is that ProPhoto is so compressed in the shadows that I find it difficult to do subtle adjustments without spilling the whole can, so to speak. Just a matter of taste. At the same time I hate clipping on principle and go to great lengths to avoid it.

2019年9月23日 · So like Dave I generally prefer Adobe RGB. ProPhoto is strictly an editing space, not an output space. ProPhoto should never leave your computer. So you might argue that you have to do some gamut remapping sooner or later, and working in ProPhoto just postpones the problem. It is perhaps easier to deal with at an earlier stage.

Now the website has a set background color of #f0f0f0, the images transition to it to make them appear seamless so in my Photoshop workspace they are #f0f0f0 correctly.

It has nothing to do with whatever spaces are used internally during processing (linear ProPhoto RGB and others) or with the Develop module display space (Melissa RGB - ProPhoto primaries with the sRGB tone curve) or with how the Export page is opened.

2013年8月13日 · ProPhoto RGB is just about the widest color space. It's used by photographers. As some noted authors and celebrities like to put it, "ProPhoto RGB is the only color space real men use". However, because it is soooooo wide, it can give you all kinds of grief if you don't know exactly what you are doing.
