2018年9月27日 · Porsche has unveiled the new 935 on the occasion of the historic “Rennsport Reunion” motorsport event at Laguna Seca Raceway in California. The 515 kW (700 hp) racer featuring a body reminiscent of the legendary Porsche 935/78 will be produced in a limited number of 77 units.

With outright victories at Daytona and Sebring and a second overall at Le Mans in the hands of Paul Newman, this 935 is one of the most successful Porsche GT racers, and it was not even built in Germany!

2024年3月15日 · At the 2018 Rennsport Reunion at California’s Laguna Seca Raceway, Porsche unveiled a new 935 track vehicle to celebrate the company’s 70th anniversary. It was inspired by the storied 935 that dominated endurance races in the late 1970s and ‘80s in the Special Production Cars Group 5 class.

From 1977 into the 1980s, Porsche 935s were the popular choice in Group 5, GTP, and GTX racing both in Europe and North America. Later versions were made by Kremer, Joest, Gaaco and Fabcar left little room for any challenge to Porsche dominance.
