2017年9月26日 · I do what jim stated basically. Seperate everything in ziploc baggies. For pheasant, i mainly use tail and rump feathers, and some around the kneck. The rump and lower kneck feathers make a decent partridge substitute for legs on nymphs such as a copper john. I did do a whole rump once, it just wasnt worth the time of cleaning and curing.

The two center tail feathers on the roosters have long fibers on both sides as stated above. The feathers next out have long fibers also but only on one side. I use both the long feathers and the shorter ones.
