Meanwhile the Pennywise in the 2017 version seems more demonic and very aggressive in a way instead of being like a killer clown. I think that was the way the director wanted Pennywise to be instead of how he was in the the 1990 version. I think both Bill Skarsgard and Tim Curry did an fantastic job at their roles.

The 1990 version, especially part 1 was just wildly superior. The child actors at the time brought so much to those parts and killed it. Also, the whole point of why pennywise was scary in the original is that he just looked like a regular clown, not a weird demon, water head clown, which in essence made it more terrifying.

You can kinda understand why Georgie would approach Tim Curry's Pennywise but with the movie Pennywise he just always exuded evil. But how can I forget fridge scene, guy sucked into a pipe scene, pennywise's final speech or giant creepy spider from the original. And of course thanks to Tim Curry, all pennywise scenes are creepy. Because it was practical which made it look realistic. 1990 version actually felt like there was no hope to defeat It.

2017年10月7日 · The acting was great and especially Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise as he captured the book character to a T. At any rate I know people will still like the mini series based on nostalgia and I say the more power to them. But at the end of the day the 2017 movie surpasses the 1990 mini series in every way.
