2015年12月15日 · The Offenhauser catalog recommends a 500 cfm four barrel carburetors for the DP manifolds for engines operating in the 2000 to 5500 rpm range. The last two manifolds are recommended for competition applications. This is because of two reasons. The open plenums on these manifolds under the four barrel is huge.

This intake works pretty well with the correct carb. This prewarms a the fule air mixture. Many use the carter, 2100, and weber with this intake. Regards, Fred

I basically just took the carb out of the box, bolted to the manifold, hooked up the fuel line and vacuum lines and then tried to start it. Gas started shooting out of the top of the carb.

The problem is the carb will sit "sideways" on this manifold compared with how it was from the factory. This means the throttle cable will not reach the carb, no matter how you mount it.

I want to go with the 470 cfm Holley Truck Avenger Series Carb. Is this a good decision or should I go with the 390 cfm Holley Street Performance Carb? The Offenhauser manifold only accepts Holley or Carter Carbs.
