To open the Bluetooth ® settings, from the main menu, select Settings > Bluetooth. Enables Bluetooth wireless technology. Manages connection between your device and wireless headsets with Bluetooth wireless technology. Allows you to enter a friendly name that identifies your devices with Bluetooth wireless technology.

To boot, when it is having this problem, there is no sound (voice or keypress tone) from the nuvi. Rebooting it may make it work in 1 time out of 6 or 7 tries. I've checked the diagnostics pages (accessed via the speedometer) and other than "Abnormal Powerdown" reported a few times, there's nothing I can really see that jumps out at me.

Before you can use hands-free calling, you must pair your device with a compatible mobile phone. Place your phone and your Bluetooth® device within 33 ft. (10 m) of each other. On your device, enable Bluetooth wireless technology. Select Settings > Bluetooth > Search for Devices. On your phone, enable Bluetooth wireless technology.
