Moose - Ironbound Lake Outfitters
Newfoundland Moose Hunting Season. We begin Moose hunting in early September and hunt until the end of November. To disperse our hunting activities throughout the short season we operate 7 remote hunting lodges and several spike camps and tent camp sites.
Rates & Info - Ironbound Lake Outfitters
Day 1 – Get picked up by Ironbound staff and transferred to the helicopter or float plane base. Fly to camp. Get settled it, have breakfast/lunch, and go hunting. Day 2-7 – Hunting. Day 8 – Depart camp in the morning and fly by helicopter or float plane to Deer Lake.

Hunting Camps and Accommodations. Our hunting camps are accessible only by helicopter or float plane and are ideally located in prime Moose and Caribou habitat in south western Newfoundland. Moose, Caribou and Bear can be hunted on foot from camp, and we enjoy exclusive hunting rights for non-residents within a large radius of our camps.

Black Bear - Ironbound Lake Outfitters
Spring Newfoundland Black Bear Hunt Spring Season. 2020: May 31 – July 12. Fly-In Black Bear Hunt. Travel to camp is accomplished by chartered helicopter or float plane. We need to depart for the hunting area on Sunday morning so hunters should arrive in Newfoundland on a Saturday.
