Oct 25, 2019 · After those 10 weeks you start walking with the boot youll receive at your 10-14 day post op appointment. you will probably start using crutches and then maybe a cane. I dont know at what point you go into a normal shoe. I've read that midfoot fusion should not affect your gait as your midfoot is more structure and stability.

Sep 30, 2019 · I had a midfoot fusion about 8 months ago in my left foot. I was terrified to have the surgery because of the long recovery. I was at the point where the fusion was my only choice too so I did it. It was the BEST decision I've made!! My recovery went so smooth. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Dec 11, 2017 · My surgery was s December 5th and I had midfoot fusion with plate and 7 screws. I’m having difficulty sleeping. I’m just taking Teylonol as needed now. Doctor told me to stay away from NSAIDS like Aleeve and Advil because it could delay bone healing but I’ve taken a few here and there anyways. I really want to be normal again.
