I recently built several systems and first thing I did was force the stock cooler to 100% and run the machines at 3.2GHz for burn in and testing. These were not quad core or extreme CPUs, perhaps the Intel stock fan on those CPUs is beefier than the "lesser" CPUs.

2024年10月24日 · Looking at Gamers Nexus power draw charts now... as he properly hooked up the 12volt lines as apparently Intel is now sucking CPU power from there. Jesus this is really bad for Intel. I mean looking at MIPS per watt in zip compression the 285 is only 25% better then the 14900.... which would be great if the 14900 wasn't so terrible in this metric.

Before I bought me my Thermaltake Frio Heatsink for my 2600k I used the Intel stock CPU cooler. I even overclocked my 2600K with the stock CPU cooler to 4.2ghz. My ideal temps where about 40-43C.
