I unscrewed the locks, open the tail gate, clump inside, stand up with top on my head, walk off back of Jeep. Granted off your lifted more then I was you will need steps. I took the Freedom panels off before I left the dealership lot and then drove home like that when I bought mine. As speeds started to approach 50-60 MPH, it started getting pretty loud.

2013年2月16日 · The Jeep since it has black plastic fenders, bumpers, and a non machine polishable top (the black splatter) I did all that in like 6.5 hours. I still used a sealant on the top but I used the spray version of what I used on the rest of the paint. Wipe on wipe off, whole top done in like 5 minutes on a JKU.

2016年3月1日 · Seriously, I would not attempt to remove the hard top by hand by myself. The hard top costs around $1,800 and a hoist is much much less expensive. If you have a garage, buy a hoist. It make removing the hard top super easy. You unbolt the top, strap the hoist to the top and turn the crank and it is off.

2016年9月4日 · Take the hard top off, store it, and run the soft top. There is PLENTY of heat and air conditioner capacity in the JK! I have a '14 Willys with the premium soft top, and my wife has a '15 with the standard soft top. Not once have we regretted not getting a hard top.
