I have a lot of Holsteins being treated like beef cows right now, and to look at their udders, you wouldn't think they were a milking breed. The older cows who went through the parlor have "normal" sized smallish udders.

A protective Highland cow with a youngster at side having a larger strange animal introduced into a small pen would, I'm afraid, set up a bad situation and an acre isn't really much room when you have three nervous animals inside.
