Since then, I've learned a ton. Pwn tools, assembly/python/C, GDB, how stack/heap works, linux internals, etc. There are so many resources out there that it's easy to get lost in all of them.

Hack the Box on the other hand challenges me regularly and I can honestly said I've learned applicable things for IT in general from HackTheBox. I actually recommend HTB to people just trying to up their IT skillset in general. They have a good balance on instruction vs demonstration. Just my opinion. I really like HTB in terms of quality.
