GRE General Test Verbal Reasoning Overview - ETS
The Verbal Reasoning measure of the GRE General Test assesses your ability to: analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it; analyze relationships among component parts of sentences; recognize relationships among words and concepts
Test Structure The paper-based GRE revised General Test contains two Analytical Writing tasks, two Verbal Reasoning sections and two Quantitative Reasoning sections. Total standard testing time is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. All references to timing and breaks in this document assume standard testing
