2017年4月28日 · Does this go for all friesians and friesian crosses, no because every horse is an individual but for me they weren't sharp enough mentally or physically. I didn't enjoy the ride, I like a quicker thinking, sharper horse. Ive also seen a few friesian crosses Ive liked who were quite athletic, eager to please and smart. It just depends.

2012年1月25日 · A quarters horse built to have very solid quarters, flat, short paces etc. A friesian is a cart horse. Built uphill, with very high stepping action. They are very, VERY different horses. If you're going to breed, cross two horses that are fairly similar in basic conformation, and with conformational features that will compliment each other.

2019年7月16日 · Size does not necessarily mean they're more expensive to keep or feed either. Not all draft crosses are that big. Many of them are in the 16 hand ballpark and fit in the same tack a big barreled quarter horse might fit in. It just depends on the cross. And a lot of them get a bad rap because so many people breed their low-end mares with Friesian stallions just to say they have a Friesian cross and it sounds fancy and all that. I kind of like the Appy. I don't see what's so special about the TBxFriesian, though.

There is a gal in this area with a nice Welsh stallion and the crosses on Quarter Horse or Paint mares have yielded some really nice offspring. Pretty pony head, arched neck, short back, strong sturdy legs, and most come out about 14.2 - 15 hands.
