2009年8月2日 · I have used gasless flux core to do 20 gauge floors up to 24 gauge quarter panels. All butt joints no lap. Single spot weld, move etc. till panel welded in. I have the the .024 wire and c25 also, it is higher quality, but when just doing spots the flux core was acceptable if set up properly. I did fight pin holes more with the flux core.

2008年5月22日 · Yes. The flux core nozzles are easier to see around, and they protect your gas nozzles from all the flux from flux core wire. I use them on my HH140 and like them. I got mine from Cyberweld. I also use nozzle dip when I use flux core and it keeps everything much cleaner, since you can just wipe it off and stick the nozzle in the can again.

2018年8月1日 · New welder here and I'm having trouble getting an ok weld from this Chicago Electric 110 flux core machine (yes I know, crap). Welding 1/8 mild steel, cleaned with flap disc, and for some reason, mid weld, the gun starts to push back fairly hard from the wire hitting the weld but I guess it doesn't arc and melt.

I would like to buy a small, portable generator capable of powering it, should I want to weld without city power. At the present time I have this getting power from a 15 amp circuit and once in a while it will throw the circuit breaker.

2007年7月1日 · With flux core wire, you shouldn't be "chipping" any slag off. It comes off easily with your hand held wire brush, unlike the stuff from a stick welder. I am still trying to figure out what to do with the chipping hammer I bought with my HH 140!! I think the hammer goes with those huge BBQ gloves they sold me at the same time.

I have just purchased a Hobart 180 Mig welder and are have problems with the 0.030 flux-core wire not feeding through all the time. It will bunch up past the roller. The speed of the wire is as slow as the setting will allow.

For starters: 1/8" material 14-15 volts 175-185 WFS 140-155 amps.035 wire Try and maintain about 3/4" wire stick out. You'll find flux cored welding settings differ from GMAW. Slower speeds, and different voltages. Hope this helps

2019年5月29日 · Yes you have to have DCEN for running E71T-11 or E71T-GS, which are gas-less flux cored wire. You should educate that salesman on how welding wires actually work, now that you know. Running gas-less flux core definitely has it's advantages if you need to do repairs out in the field and not in the shop. Don't have to worry about light gusts of wind.

2013年6月25日 · I replaced the sample Hobart Flux-core wire with some Lincoln NR-211-MP .30 wire, and with the same settings I used with the Hobart wire, it just blew through. It was like my welder was twice as hot or something!
