The shortcut listed next to Em Dash is "Alt+Ctrl+Num -". I know alt and ctrl, but what does num stand for? Also is the hyphen after "num" part of the shortcut?

2020年1月23日 · I have the same question except there are no character maps or shortcut set ups in Gmail or the Mail app. I went from Mac to Surface and this no shortcut for "em dash" is driving me nuts because all the answers that exist don't work for the simple case of writing an email in the Mail app or browser instance and/or quickly editing a google doc.

2008年9月26日 · If you add the Japaneese QWERTY keyboard to your list of keyboards, you can find it by hitting the ABC button, then the 123 button, then press and HOLD the bottom right .,-/ button. Then slide up to select the dash. After selecting you will be given choices for variants and one being the em dash.

2016年7月22日 · I know the keyboard shortcut for an em dash is Ctrl-Alt-Minus, but I used to be able to enter three of these as a keyboard shortcut for a 3-em dash, and Word would autoformat them to be seamless. Now when I do it, I get three em dashes with little gaps in between them instead of a seamless 3-em dash.
