2009年7月2日 · Madpenguin, no there are no tests for Journeyman certificate (Card) holders in Ohio. I hold an Electical Journeyman card in Ohio, specificaly for Electrician, Maintenance. Now I oversee our plants Journeyman apprentice programs and am the one that signs off for other individuals for having the correct number of hours and classes or previous credit.

2023年2月15日 · I think you will find that you will have 2000 hours of on the job training that is paid, along with 147 minimum hours per year of unpaid classroom time for four years. This is basically the national requirement for a recognized apprenticeship program. In Texas, there should be both union and non-union companies that offer and apprenticeship.

2010年12月22日 · MOS Training is done well. depends what your job will be. The senior NCOs are the instructors along with civiians. Most of the time you are taught what you need to know to move on. The rest you learn OJT (like the aprenticeship programs). Just because he has a skill (electrician w/ license) doesn't make him promotable.

2014年7月13日 · I did commercial/industrial service work for a few years back in the 90's. I don't know that you're going to find any kind of training materials that will be of much help. My training then consisted of 20+ years of ojt.

2011年10月28日 · Great suggestion! Most Electrician's Mates have a great deal of experience in operating, troubleshooting and maintaining many control and power systems. They have also recieved a great deal of training in general and specific electrical/electronic equipment maintenance and repair. :happyyes:

2012年8月5日 · Basically, these are the technical college qualifications that an apprentice has to complete through their electrical apprenticeship here in Australia, along with 4 years of on-the-job training. Our electrical systems here are different to the USA in that they are mostly based on european standards, we run on a 240/415 volt system.
