Akai ewi solo not working properly right after turning it on
2024年10月19日 · My EWI is a b-stock instrument from Thoman (I was really stretching my budget so I thought I'd save some money). They say the b-stock instruments should be just as good as the new ones, they've just been returned for some reason.

2012年7月20日 · Depends how you use it. I program my own sounds in a Logic environment and have had great success using the EWI as an auxiliary rhythm section instrument and a strong lead synth. The internal sounds on the 4000s suck. The patchman soundbank sucks less, but it's not great, either, for the styles I play, at least.

2010年10月7日 · I played it for 2-3 years and never felt comfortable enough to do a gig on it. I got a WX-5 in 2006 and was out playing it on a gig 2 weeks later. I played it on every gig after that for 2 years. The truth is I hardly ever had to practice it. It was just easy to play coming from a sax. The EWI felt like a totally different instrument to me.

2006年11月30日 · As I said, the EWI in general, is not going to replace any real wind instrument sound, no matter what tone generator you use, it is electronic midi type device, and thats all there is to it. From people I've spoken to, and read, the Vlm70 w/ Matts turob chip, is the best thing going in terms of overall sound quality.

2022年11月12日 · So obviously EWI-usb comes with the Garriton software to emulated various reed and horn instruments, though you can find much more accurate, and generally very expensive applications to do that. But I really like to play that thing through a soft synth. As mentioned, Arturia works great. I especially like the Moog Modular.
