Oct 2, 2013 · NO what k114 Is saying is use a DVI on one monitor that you have and just buy ONE DP to HDMI adapter for the other. No point in Buying 2 DP to HDMI adapters when you already have a DVI connection you can use. Again if its a standard DVI there is NO splitter that allows you to do dual screen. ONLY Mirror! The cable is is talking about is DMS59.

Dec 11, 2014 · More than likely the DVI port on your GPU is DVI-I which carries an analog along with a digital signal. So use a DVI to VGA adapter and then use an HDMI or displayport to DVI adapter for the other monitor. That way you are not having to convert from digital to analog which causes issues, and the adapters are pricey.

I connected the splitter to my graphics card and the two monitors to the splitter. Now both monitors show the same image and it doesn't recognize a second monitor.
