2020年4月6日 · How is the Chukar hunting in Southern Utah? I am from Oregon where we used to Chukar hunt every year. I am living in Arizona now and can't get to Oregon as much as we would like too. Love taking our dogs chukar hunting and Utah would be the closest drive. Appreciate your time.

2023年1月4日 · From my experience, if you're seeing chuckars while moose hunting then you're in the wrong place for moose. It was a “checking out new country” adventure on the last afternoon. However, none of the country seems like moose country, but we saw them. Just need to find bigger ones.

2017年9月27日 · I did a lot of Chukar hunting as a teenager in S Idaho and really would like to get back into that. I read that Chukar can be found at higher elevations in the Mormon Mountains but I have not scouted this area yet. I have hiked and backpacked all my life and consider myself to be in pretty good condition and able to keep up with just about anybody.

2015年4月17日 · I love chukar hunting but my spots sound much easier than yours. I won’t say I’m a strong enough person to always do this, but if you restrain from shooting the first wild flushes on a point, the second waive of birds are very killable. However, I have watched the second waive try to knock my hat off while I hold an empty Benelli BUL.

2020年5月20日 · I've found some chukar on the west slopes of sheep creek range north of Battle Mountain. I only hunted that area a couple of times but never struck out. I also never limited out. My favorite area was Denio. Hunting can be spectacular. They have a small hotel, general store, gas station, diner combination that makes for an awesome hunt base station.
