2021年12月11日 · Just did the hand calc on all numbers from day 1 using receipts from the pump, 5768 miles divided by 209.694 gallons of diesel equals 27.5, so I am getting about 1.3-1.4 better MPG than the 26.1 the lifetime trip meter is calculating.

2023年12月6日 · Insert a tube into the fuel tank and either pump the fuel out with a pump or siphon it out. If you choose to siphon, the easiest way I know is to block off the opening of the tank with the tube in the fuel at the bottom and then apply a little (5 lbs is plenty) air pressure, and the fuel will start flowing out and keep flowing out until the tank is empty.

Nowhere in my 2005 Chevrolet 3500 owners manual does it give me (that I could find) the capacity for the Alison transmission coupled with the 6.6 turbo diesel. So I called the local Chevy dealer who said 7.4 qts.
