We have been using this cable with cable glands from the ATS to the Generator on short runs (less than 6 feet). We have had several different results in jurisdictions.

2024年2月5日 · The company has existed for 20 years prior to me. I have always run a single conduit from the ATS to the generator, and pulled the feeder and control wires all in the same conduit. This is how Generac always did it when purchasing an ATS with a prewired whip. This is the same way that the tray cable sold by cablemaster does it as well.

2024年6月16日 · Generac had always used the feeder neutral as shared for the 120-volt parts of the gen-set like the charger. This creates a 300.3(B) violation when running the wiring separately from gen to transfer. The shared neutral approach also violates 200.4(A). I think they are just making a correction to something that worked but is not Code compliant.
