2020年9月24日 · I still try to keep dukes as weak as possible. I only ever give them 1 county & then the duchy. Sometimes over time they will build up & take multiple counties & duchies. In my current game as Emperor of Hispania & Francia, I had a few dukes who would go all Grand Duke on me & end up conquering their way to holding like 3-4 duchy titles.

2022年3月23日 · Related to that, there was a mod in CK2, which allowed a king/emperor to elevate a county to a titular duchy. That was a really cool feature, which allowed you to create smaller duchies or to simply grant a duchy title to a loyal vassal without having to revoke the de-jure duchy. Adding this option to CK3 would be really cool.

2012年3月3日 · From this angle, it is better not to hand out any Duchies as you will be creating 5 super enemies, compared to 15 to 25 tiny enemies. Now, having said that, creating duchies and transferring 3 to 5 counts to single a duke is supposed to make your life easier since you will be working towards satisfying 5 dukes rather than 15 to 25 counts.

2012年3月3日 · After I become king, some of the bishops are promoted to prince-bishops, so they can have a bigger demesne. I have free investiture so I can choose the bishops. I am still working on this strat, and I will probably try to set up some of the small duchies (with only two counties) as bishop-duchies (to increase demesne limit for the bishop).
