From my understanding the CIA will still put new recruits through their own training program. You watch movies or read books where someone like Mitch Rapp are plucked off the street and given the training they need to be successful.

2016年7月18日 · CIA GRS staff are ex-military, usually SOF, although there are ex-servicemen from other units. This particular guy is an Ex-Ranger, but many GRS are ex-SEALs or Marines. They aren't "pulled", but instead they retire and continue to put their skills to use.

Well GRS are not the only Paramilitary units the CIA has. They can, of course, call on SOF to assist, but the CIA operates its own Paramilitary Units. Its these POs and OOs (Operation Officers, aka "spies, but not really") that operate and protect various CIA assets globally. When the GRS does a CIA op, they're operating utilizing CIA field assets.

2018年9月1日 · Also, Global Response Staff apparently aren't under the direct employ of the CIA. They are "contractors" who are used by the CIA as security for consulates etc. my guess is that they can also be used as doorkickers, but being technically contractors, it gives the CIA that extra layer of deniability. I believe so.
