CGC Cards - Reddit
I am wanting to send in a large collection (~82 cards) to CGC for grading. I am comfortable with the Bulk ($12/card + sh) grading tier and turnaround time. I note that CGC has a paid annual membership with different tiers. The $25 and $149 tiers are 10% off grading costs, the $299 tier is 20% off grading costs.

I think each grading company has their good and bad. I would like PSA more if they offered subgrades and had the actual grade a little larger. After all I am getting the card graded, I feel like the grade should somewhat be a focal point. That may be just my preference. I like the sleakness of the cgc labels but the psa labels stack better.

I remember when CGC entered the scene and was grossed out by their design. I barely knew anything about CGC when they first started grading trading cards, so I never gave them a chance.

Been using psa for years and overall happy but bgs and cgc are both stricter. Just sent out 50 cgc cards so we will see what happens when they get back. Cgc are already really established in the comic grading world so they know what they are doing so I have high expectations for them. Also much cheaper and better turn around than bgs and psa.

2023年2月22日 · As a result, a lot of collectors do not like the grading industry. However, that doesn’t inherently make the CGC scammers. They do everything that they should in their grading service. It’s just a practice that many don’t agree with. It is worth noting that the CGC more or less had a monopoly on comic grading for a long time.

2022年2月7日 · Another month passes and I finally get the check for about $120. Sorry for the rant session. It was pretty frustrating at the time. I've heard of other horror stories from CGC too. TLDR: CGC grading decent. CGC customer service bad. Do not choose the FedEx return shipping option for orders valuing above $100.

Does it matter which grading service you use? PSA, CGC or SGC
Until AI grading becomes accurate and a thing, PSA is the go-to if you want to flip for money. Unless you're sure a card can get a BGS black label, then BGS for that card. CGC is a close second to PSA but overlooked since PSA really just has the market cornered. Only time will tell if attitudes will shift towards CGC and/or BGS.
