2007年6月23日 · I have an old running gear that I want to build a rack on. I am going to make it 8'x16' by using 4"x8" x16' stringers then lay 2x6x8' boards across. How do you guys fasten the deck boards to the stringers?

2016年4月1日 · Got some questions about rebuilding a hayrack on a Kewanee No. 47 running gear. When I tore off the old rack I noticed that the stringers were bolted on to all 4 points of the gear. I always thought you had to chain the front or back so it would give a little when going through ditches, etc?

2011年8月8日 · So, to me, A hay rack is a hay wagon that one goes to the field to get hay from, to take to the stack or barn. That said. My dads hay rack had 2 6 X 6s to hold the rack bed up.

2011年8月7日 · To me a hay rack is for loose hay with a ladder at each end. Either way I've never seen more than a foot or so over hang in front. I would think that an 8ft. hitch pole would make it a little unhandy to tow.

2013年2月22日 · Though one specific thing I have a question on is how to build a hay rack (and grain trough while on topic). I have seen a few custom ones online that are 8-10 feet long, appear to be made from v-bent cattle panel, have a tray under the rack to catch fallen hay, and even ones with a tin roof for if one is to be placed outdoors.
