2013年1月24日 · The old adage is that any woody tree can become bonsai, if the first 6 inches or so of trunk are interesting, why not give it a try? I would. Buddleja davidii and its hybrids are the most common of the Buddleja in the USA landscape nurseries. As Adair and Dave4 said, the natural traits of this species are not ideal for bonsai.

2025年1月20日 · For young red maples, I wash away all of the current soil, remove all roots that are growing the wrong direction, chop the other roots very short to build ramification, and chop the trunk back to where the straight section begins. About 5% die, and the rest have a rock-solid foundation as pre-bonsai.
