Jan 26, 2022 · While Moxon is one of the smallest directional antenna it still broadband so no need to tune every time and has great, impossible for small Yagis, F/B that is fine too. Needless to say 2m Moxon can be mechanically combined with electrically apart 70cm antenna (Moxon, Yagi, whatever) on the same boom as easy as Yagi. Just my two cents.

Apr 20, 2017 · People usually model masts along with the antenna to see effects in SWR and pattern. Clearly your metal mast-system is a resonant structure. It is smack in the nearfield when your antenna is vert pol. Horizontal it is cross pol and the mutual coupling (and thus effect) is low. Again your antenna is NOT wideband. 73 Chip W1YW

Dec 27, 2020 · so to use your reference antenna here we have a boom of 3.4 and 7.3m The first at 3.4 will be a 7 element ant 6x1 +1x 2.8dbi gain approx 8.8 dbi not the claimed 12+ dbi gain but the bigger 7.3m ant will have 15 elements. 14 x 1 + 2.8 dbi 16.8dbi against the claimed 15.9dbi that's just 0.9db of my guide calculator..

Jan 28, 2024 · You can also expand on this antenna method and design a small space yagi antenna. I built a 20 meter 2 element yagi along these same guidelines a few years ago to save horizontal space because I was using the parts from a 15 meter 2 element yagi to build the shortened 20 pseudo yagi.
