2015年8月22日 · 2009 Audi S5 V8 6 Speed Clutch was replaced out of necessity as car would not go into gear when I flew down from Alaska to pick up the car in L.A. Apparently, friend who picked up the car did not know how to drive manual that well and fried the clutch. All other work was preventative maintenance completed here in Alaska.

As I can see, the fuel is supplied by a low pressure pump (tank) to the engine where there are two high pressure fuel pumps connected to the fuel rail. I have doubts how to apply the cleaner...

2014年7月9日 · Audi's RS5 engine was derived from Lamborghini's 5.2L V10 and shares nothing in common with the R8 V8 or the RS4 V8. The B8 S5 engine still remains a mystery to me. It appears to be nearly the same as the B6/7 S4 engine but I can't find any documentation to confirm or deny that relationship.

2020年8月29日 · This engine came out of a car with mostly dealer servicing at the normal service intervals, nothing extra (as in a little shorter intervals than Audi specified) in Mx. I'm curious to see if the B8 3.0t are doing a lot better than the old 3.0/3.2 as supposedly Audi improved their timing chain/guide setup.

2012年11月5日 · s5 has forged rods/pistons (vs cast in the s4). the b6/b7 s4 4.2 wasnt audi's best work, it was the first of the mechanically stripped alusil motors and they have awful issues with cylinder wall scoring, the forged internals seem to help (less expansion). all of the fsi v8's appear to holding up much better than the timing chain mpi 4.2s.
