They also give the best ASMR experience (in my opinion), because the distance between them is much more "realistic" than a single stereo-mic unit. That said, higher-end units like the Zoom H4 or the Tascam DR100 have really super sound quality.

So, the yeti with usb and xlr functionality and monitor out gives a decent upgrading path without replacing the mic. Tested a load of mics for ASMR last week.

I have a Zoom H6 and the mid-side Mic attachment it comes with works fairly well for ASMR. I’ve not actually recorded videos with it since I just used it to play around with but it does sound pretty good. Honestly I prefer the Blue Yeti over the “binaural” microphones like the 3Dio. The 3Dio has always seemed like a gimmick to me.
