2004年9月7日 · For a fill on an 80 cuft tank should run you between 20-30 US Dollars. And i know for my customers it is normally between 30-45 dollars for a 300 size Argon bottle. Airgas should be able to fill your little 80 cuft tank, and i would take pjseaman advice and find out why they don't fill them. Hope this helps, BC. BC.

2009年9月18日 · Gas bottles (Oxygen, Argon, etc) are ok in any position, but acetylene is better vertical due to the filler. In most of the US, regulations require that all tanks be secured so that they can not move, and many states require all tanks be transported vertical, valve up, with valve cap fit if the tank is equipped for it.
Is it better to lease or buy welding gas???
Also, most guys i spoke to said i would want 75% Argon and 25%CO2. I got a few quotes locally and the cheapest was: $240 To own a 50 cubic foot tank and $53 to refill it. $76/year To lease a 125 cubic foot tank and $75 to refill it. I just don't know exactly how much welding i will do.

I stop tig welding when it gets to about 100 psi just to be safe for my welds and also to make sure I bring back the tank with positive pressure to prevent possible contamination for the next fill cycle.

The obvious reason is amortization of the cost over time. Once that's done, your jug ain't costing you! If I was running through multiple bottles per week, I'd probably lease. Most high-volume operations get delivery service. I can't go through enough of anything to get it delivered - welding gas, beer, nothin'! Hank.

2008年9月23日 · Argon gas has a density of 1.78 grams per liter and carbon dioxide gas has a density of 1.98 grams per liter. These densities are close enough that mixing the gases (as in a C-25 cylinder) and running the mixture through a flowmeter will not significantly affect the accuracy of the reading if read on the meter's Argon scale.

I purchased an owner owned cylinder (no name on it/ tested until 2014) 330CU cylinder and filled for $250.00 cash from LWS. Future refills are $45.00. I think this was a good deal.
