Because your skin becomes more delicate and absorbs a higher percentage of product.. I developed contact dermatitis and had a severe allergic reaction all around my lips where I placed it.

I've been slathering aquaphor on my lips since day 10 or so - I keep them super glossy and moisturized. Day 16 and 17 I've developed more tiny little bumps/blisters, top and bottom lip.
