You'll need the increased throughput over the 5506-x if you want any sort of intelligence, auditing, tuning or incident response to Intrusion events. Some of the features listed above are really important to use. Basically everything outside of SSL decrpytion, depending on what licenses you're looking at are both highly valuable and easy to set up.
