Alternator and Regulator ID and connectors - The AMC Forum
2017年11月16日 · AMC used Motorola alternators that had external isolation diodes, the famous red plates on the back, up through 1970. Those require a regulator meant to work with that diode due mostly to a 1 volt drop across the diode. That would be the early TVR series (TVR12AM18 for AMC) and the R2 series, shown above and below.
The AMX-perience/Trans-Am Javelin
1971 AMX with twin canopy root, "Go" package T-striping, plus optional front and standard rear air spoilers. The AMX instrument panel is more like a pilot's cockpit than a driver's dashboard. The specially curved "engine-turned" trim panel houses deeply recessed ammeter and oil pressure gauges, 140-mph speedometer, and a tachometer-clock.

2020年1月29日 · The Hurst shifter on AMC's was introduced with the "mod pac"(sp?) package that included the Big Bad colours, roof spoiler, etc. as a mid-year 69-1/2 model. Perhaps that is why APD et al list it as 69-74? Before that an Inland shifter was used from the factory for all 68 4 speeds and early 69's as well.

2022年1月13日 · Hmmm, that is pretty interesting. I have a rebuildable AMC wiper motor and plate but I also have a second AMX with vacuum wipers I'd like to convert. For this car I'm not stuck on originality and I would not mind experimenting with a conversion like this. Electric wipers have been one of the harder group of parts to put together.
