I carry four people and gear/food for a week with the truck getting right to its GVW (6300lbs). The Cooper ST in 255/85 is rated for 3000lb per tire (at 65 psi) more than capable enough for anything I can put in the truck.

I lost maybe 1-2 percent on MPG, but didn't notice much, if any, loss in power (that V8 is sweet) As for rubbing, I know the trucks are laid out differently, but mine only rubbed at full-turn, but I have no rubbing at all with a 3 inch lift.

2009年6月27日 · And I went from a 31.7-inch 265 75 and wow, what a difference in terms of trail performance. Taller tires give less rolling resistance up against the same sized rock. And these babies roll right over stuff my old 265's used to hang up on. Personally, I favor choosing based on actual tire height over width.

2020年12月17日 · The tire size is 265/55 R19 We live in central virginia and go up in the mountains alot, there is snow and plenty of un paved roads to explore. I prefer a good all terrain tire but it is nearly impossible to find a 265 R19 all terrain. Today I began wondering if I could downsize to a 255 from a 265. Would the smaller tire seat ok in my rim?

2011年7月11日 · Go 285/75r16 and don't look back. I just bought 265's 5 months ago and am purchasing 285's this week. And I have 2.5" lift on. If you have to trim...you have to trim. Beats spending money on tires twice to get what you want. Plus the trimming is minimal. Tires ain't f-ing cheap anymore. Check out the Federal Couragias. Good tire for the cost.

2010年3月10日 · I debated between the 265/75-16 and 285/75-16 and I think I made the right decision. If I was at a low altitude the 285s would probably be fine. As far as clearence problems with the UCA? No you should actualy have more room. The 265/75 is a taller but narrower tire than a 265/70 (the 285 would be different and would be very close, if not touching)
