2023年3月4日 · These engines had nothing in common with a cobra motor. Even the block was different. The cobra block was not aluminum. It was forged steel. The mach one had an aluminum block. Internals we’re different. Trans, flywheel, driveshaft, rear end, suspension…all different. The automatic mach 1s and the manual mach ones were even different.

2016年9月9日 · I've heard these engines can develop cylinder head problems (slight ticks). You didn't mention any awkward sounds though. Next check the coolant, level and color. Clean the air filter and spray the MAF with cleaner and also the IAC valve - this guy is usually the culprit for alot of idling problems.

The DOHC makes more power on the top end, so it'll pull harder up there. If the Mach 1 is stock, and the gears in your old car were 3.55 or higher, it likely pulled harder from a stop than the Mach 1 will. The seats though. They are awesome. So much better than the stock GT seats.

2020年6月23日 · I’ve been having my front brakes seize on my Mach 1. Both front calipers were dragging so I replaced them yesterday with new calipers. Took it out for a spin after bleeding the brakes, it seemed to work fine. Today I took it out again, brakes seized up again, but harder this time I assume due to the new calipers.

2013年5月9日 · The behavior of air starts to change as you reach mach 1. This article explains it well. Wave drag is a sudden rise in drag on the aircraft, caused by air building up in front of it. At lower speeds this air has time to "get out of the way", guided by the air in front of it that is in contact with the aircraft.
