2007年12月2日 · American Wire Gauge (e.g. 14 AWG) refers to how many turns per inch the bare wire covers. So for that example, 14 turns in one inch means the wire is 1/14" diameter, without insulation. 10 gauge wire would be 1/10" (0.10 in) and so on. So the LOWER the gauge number, the thicker the wire.

2005年12月5日 · Avoid the 10 AWG. 12 or 14 is fine for your needs. Someone gave me a reel of 10 AWG as a gift once, and I discovered that most plugs and spades normally will handle 12 but choke on 10. I eventually found some that worked, but your possibilities are much broader if you stick with 12 or smaller.

The small difference will not produce an audible difference from what you would get with 16 gauge unless it is a very long run, and then that difference is what you want anyway. Like. P.

2019年3月24日 · 7207 posts · Joined 2016. #9 · Mar 26, 2019. I think that neither banana plugs nor pin plugs will work with the omnijewels. They look like they're intended to take bare wire. 14 AWG has a nominal diameter of 1.63 mm. Pin plugs seem to normally be 2.0 mm in diameter (12 AWG is 2.05 mm).

From the manual, this means runs of: less than 34 feet for #10 (just over .001 ohm per foot x 68 feet for both wires) less than 22 feet for #12. less than 14 feet for #14. less than 9 feet for #16. less than 5 feet for #18.

That's literally less than 40% of the cost of Bluejeans, and I wouldn't anticipate any benefit of Bluejeans over Monoprice. Currently Building 2nd Theater (Fall, 2022 - Summer/Fall, 2023)
