2018年3月18日 · If your looking for a legal CB I think the Uniden 980 SSB would be hard to beat at around $120 new. If your looking for something with more power and features I would recommend a used ham rig like a Yaesu FT-857 or Icom 706MKIIG or Kenwood TS-50, etc. These will run circles around any export CB and they don't cost that much used. prcguy

As you can see from the diagram, on a 4 watt signal, 2 watts are "wasted" on the carrier, with 1 watt on each of the sidebands. 2021年1月13日 · THe only handheld cb I found that had ssb was an "export" radio. There don't seem to be many handhelds out there -- presumably due to crappy battery life - but for reasons that are not worth going into -- I need to find a decent handheld cb.

2025年1月18日 · Did a little checking today. SSB from Tecsun is actually not expensive. A PL-320 is about $45, and a PL-330 with SSB is about $65. Only $20 more. And a really nice PL-680 with SSB is $118. At XHData, it is expensive- the D-109WB is about $40 and the R-108 is about $60. Want SSB? The D-108 with SSB is twice as much at just over $100.

2019年12月29日 · While I don't own one I've read/watched a lot of reviews on the 980SSB and it appears to one of the best out-of-the-box "legal" SSB CB's available today. There is a simple modulation adjustment that can improve modulation to perform a little better if you feel the need.
