2024年12月16日 · Generally speaking, CA diesel is garbage unrefined fuel. I work in the industry, and it's the absolute worst we can get ahold of. What's ironic is that they distill garbage diesel, demand people only use that, and ban imports into CA from other states, then want you to stop emitting CO2. We have a large fleet, and we cover 3 states.

2025年1月2日 · Do you start using fuel additives immediately on new engines? Just picked up a new ‘25 L5P Silverado with 12 miles and wondered when would be best to start the additives. Our other diesels were purchased used (‘23 LM2 and a 5.9L Cummins truck) so I started using additives immediately. Thanks in advance for the insight!

2020年12月15日 · Diesel fuel is oil, it lubricates pretty well on its own, if you have a 2004 Duramax that was not built for ULSD and has injector issues there may? be a need for some sort of extra lubrication, cold weather performance unless you buy old fuel in Alaska you are unlikely to ever have an issue, especially if you buy it from a truck stop or such.

2023年12月26日 · Same motor as yours. Mine will start in negative 15° no problem. Even if it's not plugged in. But if you don't have a fuel additive it'll run for 30 seconds and quit. Then you have to put it in a warm building for 3 hours to thaw out. Don't ask how I know. If you have a fuel additive and you're not plugged in, it'll start and run at 0°.

2024年3月31日 · Fuel additives is like opening a can of worms. Everyone has their own option on which is better and why. Main thing is you do your homework, buy whatever helps you sleep at night and stick with it. I personally use PowerService Diesel additive. Grey bottle for summer, white for winter.

2012年4月18日 · The truck has a little over 60,000mi on it now (without the dpf delete) and If there was a problem, I think I would have noticed it by now. To be honest, I have seen what comes out of some pump fuel, and I think these, or many other additives are nothing but an insurance policy. Then again, I stay away from non-name brand fuel companies as well.
