2022年4月21日 · The prior management team's vision for CNN+ runs counter to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav's plan to house all of the company's brands under one streaming service. Some CNN+ programming may eventually live on through that service. Other programming will shift to CNN's main television network.

They have addressed this in the past (sorry I don't have a link). Basically they say they can't give access to regular CNN because of contract obligations with the cable companies. They also said they will cover breaking news on CNN+, but who knows …

2022年8月24日 · The CNN+ plans were made way before the merger happened. Also, that was a bad idea overall and I'm glad it got scrapped. I don't have to agree with Zaslav decisions because the decision were made with a goal in mind and were made by a board of executives.

2023年5月23日 · CNN+ was projecting 2 million subscribers after the first year with 15-18 million subscribers after the fourth year. For CNN, this seemed to be a push to make CNN+ happen, even though their projections and budgets were unrealistic.

But as it is, it seems like their CNN+ is just a collection of the bumper shows that go between 8 hour segments of Ukraine war coverage.

2022年3月29日 · WarnerMedia's lucrative and long-term deals with cable and satellite distributors mean that CNN+ can't simulcast the existing CNN/U.S., CNN International or CNN en Español channels. Maybe when those contracts come up for renewal they can change it up? It does seem they have live CNN-like shows, but you can watch them on demand as well.

2022年3月29日 · This is a big fail. CNN doesn’t realize why people are tuning in. As people realize CNN+ doesn’t offer live streaming, they will kick it to the curb. They should really say: Hey! Before you click signup, please note that you’re really signing up for new “produced” News shows that are all old news by the time you see it. No live CNN.
