2024年2月26日 · Personally, I would NOT play it on chess.com: playing long games online just does not feel fun to me. IMO, if you are looking for a nice gift to an average chess player, and you can find an Omega Chess set online, it would work quite well. A set like that would also be well received and see a lot of play at an amateur chess club.

2018年2月14日 · Hello, I am a casual chess player who loves to play chess regularly. I purchased an Omega Chess set back in 2010 and it has since become my favorite version of chess. I have also collected several of the Musketeer chess pieces as well which I will use interchangeable with standard chess or omega chess.

2012年5月15日 · Omega Chess is not amongst the standard variants, however. (It is a commercial variant, and it was not clear if it is allowed to distribute programs for that.) You would also need an engine that plays Omega Chess, however, as WinBoard is just a user interface, and doesn;t think up moves.

2011年8月16日 · Omega Chess is like chess but then with extra pieces, new ones that move different and with a few new rules and possibilites. It is hard to get people to play it, it's even hard buy the board game itself.
