Mbombela Stadium is a multi -purpose sport facility that was constructed as one of 5 new stadia for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer Tournament. Four 2010 World Cup Matches took place at the stadium.

The main features of the stadium are the 18 majestic orange giraffe columns that support the roof structure and the black and white zebra skin patterned seating. The bright colours of the stadium create a vibrant and friendly atmosphere.

The stadium offers parking for 4500 vehicles. A convenient park and ride is offered for all football matches and for selected large Rugby Matches. The following categories of parking are available on site:

The stadium has an 180 seat auditorium, with state of the art audio visual equipment, ideal for presentations and smaller conferences. Adjacent to the auditorium is a dining area and kitchen.
