2001年7月1日 · An uncommon case of multiple venous aneurysm of the basilic vein was diagnosed in a 61-year-old woman who presented with a left arm mass. The lesion was successfully resected with day surgery. Clinical features, including the complications, treatment, and etiology of these exceedingly uncommon lesions, are discussed.

On inspection, basilic vein dilation in the right antecubital fossa, and cavernous hemangioma in the forearm and right upper extremity were observed. The rest of the physical examination was noncontributory. Laboratory tests including complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and liver and renal function tests were normal.

Percentage-wise increased the basilic vein with 44% in cross-sectional area and 21% in diameter, which were 37% and 17% for the cross-sectional area and diameter of the cephalic vein. Conclusions: In general, the largest sized veins are situated in the upper arm, of which the cephalic vein has the largest cross-sectional area and diameter.
