A Glenview police officer died in a car crash on his way to work, the Glenview Police Department announced Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. near 22nd and Lawrence Streets. Investigators later said the person struck by the car died at the hospital. The driver and a passenger were also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
