An Amtrak train traveling from New Orleans to New York City collided with a vehicle obstructing the track in Vance, Alabama Thursday.

An Amtrak passenger train was involved in a collision with a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Tuscaloosa County. Train 20 was traveling from New Orleans to New York City when it collided with a vehicle on the track in Vance at around 4:10 p.

An Amtrak train carrying 164 passengers from New Orleans collided with a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Alabama. The train was headed to New York City when it hit a vehicle obstructing the tracks in Vance, according to Amtrak.

The northbound Vermonter train was on the move later Monday, about three hours after the collision occurred in South Deerfield.

Officials with Amtrak say 164 were on board and that there are no reported injuries to passengers or crew at this time.
