The pickup truck heading down the wrong way on U.S. 27 caught fire following the crash, and Gillespie Sr. was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

IOLA, Kan. (KSNW) — A woman is dead after a crash in Allen County. The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened shortly before 8 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 169 between Iola and Humboldt.
