While many expect Amazon to unveil its latest advancements in AI-driven voice assistance, a recent report suggests that Amazon may delay the actual rollout of the new Alexa software until March 31. According to a source within Amazon cited by the Washington Post (via Android Authority ), the delay stems from performance issues during testing.

If announced, this would mark Alexa's most significant evolution since its debut in 2014. Although Amazon has long been a leader in the AI assistant space, the landscape is rapidly shifting. Companies like OpenAI, Google and Anthropic are rolling out increasingly sophisticated AI assistants capable of multitasking and completing complex requests.

Though the updated version of Alexa was originally expected to land in late February, it is now pegged for March 31 or later.
