Cops have arrested a former employee of an Upper West Side computer services company suspected of shooting and wounding his ex-boss — then sending train commuters cowering under subway seats as he entered a nearby station during his breakneck escape.

The suspect in a shooting in New York City's Upper West Side is in custody, police said. Eduardo Diaz, 42, faces attempted murder, assault and weapons charges. The shooting took place around 9:20 a.m.

A person of interest is in custody in Thursday’s shooting on the Upper West Side that sent subway riders scrambling to duck under seats, the NYPD said. Police have not released the name of the person in custody or what their relationship with the victim might be.

According to reports, the suspect was fired before the shooting, confronted his boss and fired at least six shots before fleeing into subway tunnels.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition, according to police. The suspect ran into the subway at the 72nd Street and Central Park West station. Police said the investigation was continuing. Service was disrupted or rerouted on the A, B, C and D lines, as well as southbound M7 and M11 buses.
