In September, a coal mine reopened in Utah’s Coal Country. But the mine’s owner, Wolverine Fuels, couldn’t find enough people to fill the estimated 350 jobs needed to staff it.

The Utah Inland Port Authority has added a coal mine to its development plan in Carbon and Emery counties. The Fossil Rock Mine, formerly called the Trail Mountain Mine, closed in 2001.
