Small, translucent creatures — known as sea cherubs — are washing up along Oregon beaches, and more sightings are occurring in 2025 than usual, according to Seaside Aquarium.

A sea turtle that washed up on a beach north of Seaside had already died before ... can trap them in colder waters off the coasts of Oregon and Washington state where they become hypothermic.
